Get ready for the first holiday weekend of summer 2010!

Lt. Sue Gavron will be our feature guest from CJFD,  as we talk about volunteers and their dedication to this important mission.   CJFD covers a stretch of I-75 so the potential exists for many types of hazards and events.
Also joining us on the show is Sean Brennan of Jim Palmer Excavating here in Bowling Green.   Jim Palmer Excavating continues to be this area’s top excavation company in spite of a slow economy,  things break,  and Jim Palmer is there to fix them!

The show begins at 9:00 am. on  AM1470  “Ticket to your Community”. For those of you not in the area this weekend a podcast will be available about noon at:  www.1065theticket.com

This week’s show – 5/8

Friday, May 7th, 2010

Pictured with Rick and Jackie from last week’s show about foreclosures is Bowling Green attorney and the last word on local legal issues, Mike Marsh.

Dear Friends and Family

This Saturday on A Firm Foundation,  it’s springtime and it’s the beginning of the painting season.   Jackie already has 3 big faux painting jobs under her belt this year,  the two most recent are now featured on our website, under latest construction news,  <www.rickandjackie.net>.

Faux painting is now the latest way to express your creative abilities in decorating.   Best part about faux painting is,  if you don’t like it,  you can paint over it,  and try something different.    What I don’t like about it,  is it is tedious.

A Firm Foundation will originate this Saturday beginning at 9:00 am.  live from the Bowling Green Sherwin Williams store on S. Main St. in Bowling Green.    Brian Miller will be our feature guest along with others,    AM1470  Ticket to your Community,  or podcast at:  <www.1065theticket.com>    type foundation in the search bar,  anytime after noon . .  .

No rest for Jackie . . .

Friday, May 7th, 2010

Jackie spends her weekends lending her talents to the company, in the new house almost finished, she has demonstrated two different techniques of faux painting, picture #1 is sponge painting over a neutral background, and picture #2 is more tedious trowel on paint, with a light brown glaze to highlight the 3-demensional texture, difficult to capture in a photograph . . .

This week’s show – 5/1

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

Dear Friends and Family

This Saturday,  the first Saturday of the new month of May,  will be an outstanding edition of A Firm Foundation.   We will be joined live in studio with our good friend Mike Marsh,  with another edition of the,  last word,   when Mike issues a decision in Wood County,  if you disagree your only option at that point is to go to court.

We plan on covering a wide range of topics with Mike,  but will concentrate of the new foreclosure crisis,  for the last 4 years each successive year gets worse?   Go figure.

Mike attends nearly every Sheriffs sale representing someone.   As Mike mentioned several months ago,  we have never in our lifetime seen declining property values like now.   If someone bought a property in the last 5 or 6 years with a 30 year mortgage,  chances are they are underwater in their mortgage.   We will discuss the Dold crisis,  bankruptcy, vetting a contractor, and purchasing a foreclosure.

Pictured with Rick and Jackie is Mike Messaros from Wood County Hospital on last weeks show.

The show starts at 9:00 am. live on   AM1470.  The show can be heard after 12:00 pm. in it’s entirety on <1065theticket.com>  type “Foundation” in the  search bar.
