This week’s show – Crosby Festival of the Arts

This Saturday A Firm Foundation will broadcast live from one of the best art festivals in the mid-west, the 45th Crosby Festival of the Arts, from the Toledo Botanical Gardens, in West Toledo.

The Festival will feature over 250 artists from across the U.S. displaying 10 different mediums. The art show is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, the radio show begins on Saturday at 9:00 am. on AM1470 Ticket to your community. Our show will feature several artists along with others from the Toledo Botanical Gardens.

This week A Firm Foundation continues summer festivals around N.W. Ohio with a visit to Wildwood Preserve Metropark, just off Central Avenue in Toledo. Broadcasting live from the Manor House right in the heart of the Park. The Metro Parks are sponsoring their 5K run.

We will be joined by Scott Carpenter and others from the Toledo Metro Parks. In case you didn’t know it, Toledo has some of the most diverse parks in the U.S. from the marshes along Lake Erie to the Oak Openings region.

This Saturday A Firm Foundation moves onto the next summer festival, Wood County Heritage Days, life from the Historical Museum on County Home Road. Along with Kelli Kling will be Dr. Peter Lalor from Wood Co. Hospital, discussing bariatric surgery, of which Wood Co. hospital leads the nation in procedures.

Erin Hachtel, will discuss the Wood Co. program, “No Wrong Door” and Wood Co. Commissioner, Tim Brown will update us on the tornado disaster. The show begins at 9:00 am. on AM1470, “ticket to your community”.
