This week’s show – An extra special mix!

Saturday, November 27th, 2010

Dear Friends and Family

Another Thanksgiving is winding down, the turkey has been consumed and it’s time for us to start thinking about A Firm Foundation broadcast for a holiday weekend.

We have put together an extra special show for Saturday beginning at 9:00 am. first up at 9:07 will be our Sheriff, Mark Wasylyshyn to remind everyone about the serious threat of crime during this stressful holiday season. Sheriff Wasylyshyn is a strong believer in security systems, especially if you live in a rural setting, so up at 9:24 will be Bill Romp, senior home security consultant for Habitec Security.

Then we switch gears and talk about some holiday shopping specials: first with Gabe and Lisa Barrows, owners of Barrows Jewelers, Toledo’s most trusted jeweler! At 10:00 Dana Frank will join us to talk about TV’s and home electronics, Mike Seeger owner of Red Wing Shoes will talk about dad’s shoe store, Tom St. Julian will discuss holiday fitness about 10:35, and we will wrap up the show with a pre-game scouting report for the big game broadcast right here on AM1470, Toledo’s flagship for O.S.U. football.

If you miss the show, the podcast is available at 11:00 am. at:

MOST IMPORTANTLY: if you haven’t seen the baby pics scroll down the blog and let us know which picture is your favorite!

Dear Friends and Family,

Check our previous post for a picture of Jarret Denison Horning, born November 13th, late last Saturday night.

This Saturday on A Firm Foundation, three important reports:

  1. Dr. Carlos Gomez will be joining us shortly after 9:00 a.m. to talk about his revolutionary knee surgery, with knee components made specifically for each patient. All of this is possible because of enhanced imaging.< /li>
  2. About 9:30, Tim Young is going to join us. Tim works for a Dayton company, Extermital. Tim specializes in bedbugs. “Sleep tight, and don’t let the bedbugs bite!” Something we’ve heard as a kid, but today’s reality is that bedbugs have made a huge comeback, and Cincinnati is the worst city in the U.S.
  3. Shortly after 10:00 a.m. Joe Williford of Wood Co. Hospital will join us live to discuss paying your medical bills, if you have health insurance, and if you don’t. Ever been confused by medical billing? We attempt to unravel the mystery of medical billing on To Your Health

Again, check the baby picture on the previous blog post.
