This week’s show – Bye, bye 2010

Friday, December 17th, 2010

Dear Friends and Family,

It’s the last show of 2010, can you believe it? The year started with a show from Santa Maria, California, and ends this Saturday in the studio, 1 week before Santa Claus arrives. Very relevant topics on this year’s end show: first up will be Dr. Doris Herringshaw, O.S.U. extension for N.W. Ohio, and expert on many topics, but this Saturday, we focus on food for the holidays and holiday parties, whether you are hosting or if you are a guest. During an evening party, the food can sit out on the table way beyond the safe limit for unrefrigerated, so food illness is a real possibility. The same goes if you are the guest. Do you know who is cooking? Did they wash their hands?

Next up will be a Bowling Green success story of a local business expansion, Bowling Green Chiropractic, 320 W. Gypsy Lane, had their grand opening expansion during last Sunday’s snow storm. Leah Boyd-Barrett has joined the firm and offers massages, health, wellness, and nutritional supplements. In hour two more discussion about Poco’s Playhouse, II the new doggie-day care business opening this spring at 320 W. Gypsy Lane. Do you have a pooch?

Plus the annual A Firm Foundation Christmas Carolers will end with two traditional Christmas carols to round out the show, starting at 9:00 a.m. on AM1470 ticket to your Community with N. W. Ohio’s most trusted hosts, R & J Podcast for your convenience at 11:00 a.m. www.1065theticket.com

This week’s show – Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village

Friday, December 10th, 2010

And finally, Wednesday night the Bowling Green Zoning Board of Appeals approved the variance for the opening of Poco’s Playhouse at our facility at 320 W. Gypsy Ln. Last week’s show – Moving that snow!

This week’s show – Let it snow!

Friday, December 3rd, 2010

Dear Friends and Family,

When do you think we will get our first snowfall? We are well past the usual date of November 12 for this area! This Saturday, A Firm Foundation will be talking snow removal in Toledo. Ed Moore, Director of Roads, Harbors, and Bridges will join us live in the studio to talk about the snow removal plan in Toledo. No job in government brings more complaints than snow removal, be it a homeowners association, apartment complex, or a city. With resources becoming more and more limited, it’s important for people to revise their expectations of what can be done during a major storm, remember the Blizzard of ‘78?

The show begins at 9:00 a.m. on AM1470, “Ticket to your community“, the podcast of this show for your convenience can be heard beginning anytime after 11:00 a.m. at: www.1065theticket.com

Be sure to check below for the latest pictures of Jarret Horning, born November 13th.
