This week’s show – House of Color

Friday, September 30th, 2011

Look around your house right now, how would new floor coverings look for the holidays? Have you seen all the new carpet patterns and colors now available. What about ceramic tile for the kitchen instead of that old worn out linoleum? How about custom heating under that new ceramic tile floor, talk about cushy?

Saturday hear all about it, on A Firm Foundation as we join Sharon Miles in her 1-year old new store in Findlay beginning at 9:00 am. on AM1470 WLQR. For your convenience a podcast is available after 11:00 am. at www.1065theticket.com.

Think about this, when you have remodeling done in your house, strangers are there for several days, maybe you are not home while they are there working? Better have a company you can trust, like House of Color.

This week’s show – Economic Advisor

Friday, September 23rd, 2011

This Saturday we welcome back N. W. Ohio’s top economic advisor, Dock Treece. Last time Dock was with us, less than 3 years ago, the national debt stood at about $10,000,000,000,000. Now the national debt is over $17,000,000,000,000.

What does this mean to all of us? The last time Dock was with us mortgage rates on a 30 yr. fixed mortgage stood about about 5.8%, the rate today is about 4%, the lowest mortgage rates have been since Dwight Eisenhower was President. Dock will talk about personal financial issues too, like investing in gold.

This week’s show – Honor Flight

Friday, September 2nd, 2011

Labor Day weekend and we are enjoying freedoms unlimited — including hot dogs, apple pie, and family and friends for the “last hurrah” of summer. Have you ever considered doing something special for those who, years ago gave unselfishly of themselves to maintain the freedoms that we know and love, including that “last hurrah”?

Honor Flight is doing that “thank you” for those individuals who spent years of their lives protecting this great country of ours by offering, free of charge, flights to Washington, D.C. to visit their very own monument honoring them for their valor. Do YOU know how this fantastic “Thank You” to these individuals started? Do YOU know how YOU can help get more of this country’s older Americans to see this awesome memorial ? Do YOU know how YOU can get involved? Then tune in this Saturday, or stop out to Ace Hardware in downtown Bowling Green, to great our guest, Dave Chilson, the regional facilitator for this area’s Honor Flight program as he relates all this information to YOU, our awesome listener.

Join us this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on AM-1470 — or come on down and hear us first-hand at Ace Hardware (where they’ll be having their Labor Day Sale!!) Of course, as usual, the podcast will be available after 11 a.m. at www.1065theticket.com.
