This week’s show – Santa Claus is Coming To Town

With only 4 days left till Christmas everyone is asking their dog, “have you been a good dog this year?” The answer must be yes, because look at all the stockings hung by the chimney at Pocos Playhouse in Bowling Green. (picture attached).

This Saturday on A Firm Foundation, “Home for the Holidays” beginning at 9:00 am. on AM1470 WLQR, where did some of our Christmas traditions come from, like decorating a tree inside your house? About 9:30 we will speak with Frank Guglielmi, from Meijer about all the special holidays treats, anything you can imagine,and Meijer has it! If that isn’t enough to warm up the house for your family, then about 10:45 for the 13th consecutive year in a row, the Firm Foundation choir will provide the singing for 2 Christmas classics. This week’s show – Snow and Ice

We did it again the 4th year in a row. We made it all the way to our annual snow removal show without any measurable snow in N. W. Ohio.

This Saturday N. W. Ohio’s most trusted hosts visit with David Pratt, Commissioner for the City of Toledo, Streets, Bridges, and harbor. With major street paving projects on the schedule for next year, that will be our first topic, the final thoughts on leaf pickup, and then full discussion of “the plan” a comprehensive look at how the snow gets removed during a major snow event.

For those that have never been behind a big scoop, it’s your chance to hear from the experts. Most complaints in a city involve snow removal, since everyone has their own idea about how best to see bare roadway, while a foot or two piles up in the yard.
