This week’s show – Chamber Meeting and Dinner

The last Saturday of January, January 26 is the 35th anniversary of the Blizzard of 1978. Forgetting about that, N. W. Ohio’s most trusted hosts warm up the Grand Ballroom at the Bowling Green State University Bowen-Thompson Student Union, for Saturday night’s biggest social event, The Chamber Meeting and Dinner.

Joining Rick and Jackie on this exciting morning will be B.G.S.U. President Mary Ellen Mazey, on a variety of college related topics. Dick Morris general manager of the Sentinel-Tribune will talk about Saturday morning free Health Fair, and rounding out the guest list will be Earlene Kirkpatrick and Sandy Milligan from the Bowling Green Chamber.

This Saturday A Firm Foundation welcomes back to the program live from Washington, Grover Norquist, founder of Americans for Tax Reform. In Washington since 1982, Grover can give us a 30 year perspective on the major problems that seem to plague our Nation, spending and pork. Grover will be joining us about 9:15 am. . .

Then we change gears at 10:00 am… and speak with local girl gone to the big city, Brooklyn Brown, and discuss her first book, “Kifaru, tries something new”. A children’s book with a positive healthful message, illustrated by another local, Myke Wright.

This Saturday A Firm Foundation travels to Grand Rapids, Ohio to Nazareth Hall, one of the most unique and historic places in Wood County. Brook Schulte, event planner will talk about Nazareth Hall and the variety of special events they host.

Joining us about 9:30 am. will be local remodeling contractor, Gary Rieman, with a project list for 2013 for everyone’s home!
