Most of you have heard about the Dead Sea scrolls? Discovered in 1947 the scrolls were found in caves at Qumran. There were 4 caves that scrolls were found in, but erosion has destroyed 3 of the caves, the forth is pictured in the background behind Jackie. The scrolls contained ancient writing about Jewish history dating back to 1000 BC and aligned with just about all the writings in the Old Testament, and other ancient writings, like the Ebla tablets found in Syria. All of the scrolls are now translated and can be viewed in Jerusalem at the Historical Museum.
