Greetings from a sun-drenched Highland Meadows Golf Club, the site of the 29th playing of the Marathon Classic, and this Saturday as we have since 2002, N. W. Ohio’s most trusted hosts will be there beginning at 9:00 am… with golf updates and insight into Toledo’s biggest event of the year!

Unprecedented, this year, again kids 17 and under get in for free, military, and active police or fire members all get in for free. And if you were not there today you missed senior day at the Classic, when seniors got in for free!

Classics on Main, this Saturday! Get ready for the biggest classic car show in N. W. Ohio, “Classics on Main” this Saturday in downtown Bowling Green. Last year over 300 classic cars were on display for everyone to enjoy.

Jeff Snook, owner of Snook’s Dream Car Museum, helps organize this highly successful event and he will be our feature guest this Saturday on the show.

Speaking of show, Jackie will be dressed in some of the latest in classic fashions courtesy of Hats and Apparel on S. MainStreet, where A Firm Foundation will originate live this Saturday beginning at 9:00 am. Tune in live on AM1470 WLQR, or streamed live at www.talkradio1470.com and also on I-Heart radio.

It will be great fun this weekend in downtown Bowling Green, now what do classic cars and classic houses have in common, they all start with a firm foundation. Pictured from the jobsite today (600 Jacqueline Pl.) are the footers ready for concrete, pay particular attention to the forms, made of one of the best improvements ever for a dry usable basement, “Form-a-drain” providing the drainage tile around the perimeter and inside perimeter of the basement and connected to the pumps at the top of the picture.

Hi Everyone, this Saturday July 5, there will be NO broadcast of A Firm Foundation Radio show, Rick and Jackie are off to Oxford, Ohio with the first two replacement windows for their 18 year old rental house, work to do on the 4th of July.

Next week July 12, is one of the two biggest events of the year in downtown Bowling Green, Classics on Main, the mid-summer classic car show like none other in the area, last year over 300 cars on display. N. W. Ohio’s most trusted hosts will be live on S. Main Street, at Ginny Stewart’s Hats and Apparel, one of Jackie’s favorite stores, Jackie will be modeling clothes that morning from Ginny’s store.

After not missing a Saturday in the last 3 1/2 years Rick and Jackie are looking forward to a quiet Saturday in Oxford!
