Memorial Day 2016

Thursday, May 26th, 2016

Hi Everyone,  and Happy Memorial Day,    and thank God for the great men of the “Greatest Generation”   that preserved the freedom we all cherish today.   Pictures with Jackie and myself is Jackie’s Uncle Cornell,  Cornell just turned 96,  Cornell fought in WWII,  and then went on to have a long life and career after he returned home to Warren,  Ohio.

This Saturday on A Firm Foundation for Life,  we spend hour #1 with our friend and talk show host on the West Coast Andy Caldwell.   When we talked about having Andy on the program on this special day before the CA Primary election on June 7,  we thought that would be a big election for the Republicans,  now it’s only a big election for the Dems as Hillary fights for her life with Bernie,  any of you feeling the “Bern”?     Andy talks about the election and several other important topics like the water shortage in CA,  that’s man made because of incompetent leaders in CA state government.
In hour #2   “Ace is the place”!   All about Ace hardware,  joining us live in Oxford,  Ohio,  is our friend and local successful business owner of Ace Hardware,  Jeff McDonald.
Spend your Saturday morning of your holiday weekend with N. W. Ohio’s most trusted hosts,   Rick and Jackie beginning at 9:00 am.  locally on AM1470,  streamed live on the internet at:  <www.talkradio1470.com>  or remotely on I-Heart Radio.
God Bless our great Country this Memorial Day!

Take Care

Caregiving
Over 66 million Americans are caregivers in one way or another.   Many of those millions fall into the difficulty of providing care and support from a distance.    Help and advice are on the way this Saturday on A Firm Foundation for Life.  N. W. Ohio’s most trusted hosts welcome to the program for the first time Dr. Maisha Robinson,  from the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.   Dr. Robinson specializes in neuro-palliative care,  complex symptom management, end of life care,  and existential suffering,  plus many other terminal care issues.
From Jacksonville many patients have long distance family and extended family trying to offer care and support to their loved ones.   Dr. Robinson will be on shortly after 9:00 am.  so don’t miss this in depth discussion of these important health issues that can only be heard on A Firm Foundation for Life.
The program starts at 9:00 am.  live locally on  AM1470 WTOD,  streamed on the internet at:  <www.talkradio1470.com>  and remotely on I-Heart radio.
Pictured this week is the latest construction progress at 640 Jacqueline Place,  now under roof and almost ready for drywall.

Rain, Rain, Go Away, There is Power in Blood!

Sunday, May 1st, 2016
The power is in the Blood
Rain,  rain, go away,   the scene from the job site this morning as the materials roll in,  but the rain continues.  Thank goodness this Saturday we are inside,  inside at Wood County Hospital for the annual Chamber Blood Draw.   This popular community event allows area residents to get a standard blood test for $45,   the test is normally over $200 so health conscience people take advantage of the day.   Our feature guest on the program will be Dr. Randy Trimpey MD and we will examine all the medical science in a person’s blood,  and how to manage this information in an overall individual health plan.
The program begins at 9:00 am.  and is heard locally on AM1470 WTOD,  is streamed live at:   <www.talkradio1470.com>   and remotely heard on I-Heart radio.
Today’s picture comes from new house construction at 640 Jacqueline Place,  the roof trusses have arrived and the framing erection should start next week!
