The last Saturday in July

Friday, July 28th, 2017

This Saturday on A Firm Foundation for Life N. W. Ohio’s most trusted hosts will be in studio with a look ahead at some senior issues that continue to expand in our aging society.   Denise Niese, director of the Wood County Committee on Aging joins us first off, to discuss some of the issues happening here in Ohio.   At the State and Local level of government elected officials have to deal with people, people that have names and faces, not like the Federal Government that only worries about politics.  This promises to be an interesting discussion that concerns many of us.

The program starts at 9:00 am.  Live and local on 1370 WSPD, also on 92.9 FM, streamed live at:  wspd.com or remotely on I-Heart radio, and the I-Heart radio app.

Last week was a week of winners, pictured with Rick and Jackie on Sunday is IK Kim, after she shot a 63 to win the Marathon Classic.  And pictured with Jackie on Saturday night in Columbus is Vice-President Mike Pence in Columbus.

100th anniversary of Denali

It’s a long way from Denali to Toledo

Hi Friends,  returning to the land of night time from the land of 24 hour daylight,  makes sleeping allot more natural.   Last Saturday after our program from Alaska we took the 8 hour bus tour into the heart of Denali National Park, on the park’s 100th anniversary,  and that’s today’s picture attached.   This Saturday on A Firm Foundation for Life an interview with our tour guide from the bus tour,  a 3000’ foot drop off the road at the summit on a dirt road they say is two lanes,  but vehicles must pull to the side to pass,  (no guardrails).

Also this Saturday the rest of our interview with Micky Panteak at Anaktuvuk,  the remote Alaskan village 150 miles from the nearest road,  we flew into the village on Wednesday night.

The program begins at 9:00 am.  live on  WSPD 1370 am. and streamed live at:  wspd.com  or remotely on I-Heart radio,  don’t miss this one.  Rick and Jackie discuss later in the program about the 40th anniversary of the Trans-Alaska pipeline
