No place to skimp…

For years we have been guaranteeing our residents a dry livable basement and hear is why, the naked truth. Notice the crock and pipe on the right side of the picture. This is the rough-in for a sewage crock for a future bathroom in this basement. A number of residents in the subdivision where we live put in gravity sewers under the basement floor and in the Great Black Swamp there is a possibility that something could fail in the future and the resident could have raw sewage in their basement, (raw sewage is a clean expression for s . . . . t). With the sewage crock setup, and check valve system raw sewage cannot back up into the basement.

Notice the two crocks in the far side of the basement. For more than 20 years we have had two crocks and two sumpumps in every basement for backup and large capacity pumping availability. This allows the resident to pump large volumes of water without “stacking” the pumps in one crock, very inconvenient and hard to work on.

Lastly notice all the stone under the floor this allows for free drainage to the crocks. When complete there will be over $2000 worth of loose stone under and around the basement of this new house.
